From the past my dentist didn’t focus on my teeth at all. I had braces kind of half of my early adult life. Now at 25 I’m braces free and have Veneers. Honestly Dr. Pia gave me hope. I can’t thank her enough. And her assistant Paulina also a huge help as well. Thank you so much ladies. I can’t wait for my future with my smile. LOOK GOD I CAN SMILE WITHOUT BRACES

Dr. Pia loves what she does and it shows. I came to her with some bad dental work that completely messed up my gums and she transformed my smile. She prides herself on making sure things are done well and done right. She was honest about the process and communicated every step. I’m so grateful I found her and that I feel comfortable smiling again!

During my consult, Dr. Lieb discovered a cyst in my mouth that no other dentist had. I am very grateful for that. After that was treated, I went back to Dr. Lieb to have my two front teeth done over. One crown, one veneer. She put her best foot forward and had them hand-made!! I watched some of the process to get the color correct. It took a bit longer than expected, but my teeth look so real and very nice. She’s one of a kind and I love her personality.Thank you Dr. Lieb.

Dental Teeth Whitening Will Truly Brighten Your East Village, NY Life

Your teeth play an important role in the face you present to the world every day. When you are not confident in your smile, it can be immediately obvious to everyone you encounter. From coffee stains to tartar buildup, many things can make your smile appear dull. Most of us are looking for ways to improve our appearance, so it’s only natural to look for ways to make a dull smile shine brighter. Dental teeth whitening can help you regain that radiant smile you want to show the world. But there are so many options on the market it can be difficult to know which products to use or which procedures work best. So let’s discuss some common questions you might have so you can confidently decide if whitening is right for you.

Why Do People Choose to Whiten Their Teeth?

If you look closely at a very young child’s mouth, you are most often going to see a smile filled with bright white teeth. Brand new teeth are naturally white, but as time passes, they can easily start to yellow even when you have a great dental routine. Things like coffee, tea, tobacco, and wine are some of the obvious things that can stain or discolor your teeth. Unfortunately, avoiding these problematic substances might not be enough to keep your smile bright and white. There are many other things that can affect the color of your smile, and many of them you might have no control over at all. The air you breathe, the water you drink, and the health of your body can all have an impact on what your smile looks like. Of course, healthy teeth don’t necessarily need to be white to stay healthy. But the appearance of your smile can have a considerable impact on your self-esteem. A bright smile can help you look and feel your very best.

Is Dental Teeth Whitening Safe?

For most people in East Village, NY, teeth whitening is incredibly safe, particularly when done by a professional. Unfortunately, however, not every individual is a candidate for professional whitening services. For example, individuals with periodontal (gum) disease will need to stabilize their condition before their dentist will recommend any whitening procedures. This could be as simple as having an in-depth cleaning completed, or it could involve further treatment depending on the severity of the disease. In addition, other dental concerns may also need to be addressed before you receive a whitening procedure. This is why it is essential to discuss teeth whitening services or products with your dentist before whitening your teeth.

Ways to Whiten Your Teeth

These days it is easier than ever to get whiter teeth. Everywhere from your local NYC beauty stores to your dentist’s office seems to have multiple options to choose from. But, of course, not all of these treatments are equally effective, so it’s important to spend a little bit of time doing your homework before you spend your hard-earned money on any East Village cosmetic dentistry service.

In East Village, NY dental teeth whitening products/services fall into two main groups: professional dental teeth whitening or at-home whitening products.

At-Home Whitening:

A quick trip to any New York pharmacy or grocery store will show you there are a truly incredible number of whitening products readily available over-the-counter. Most at-home whitening is done with one of these OTC products that often include:

– Whitening toothpaste

– Naturally abrasive cleaners (charcoal/baking soda)

– Self-whitening kits

Each of these over-the-counter products have varying levels of effectiveness. They typically involve combinations of peroxide or abrasive cleaners that bleach the surface layers of the teeth. Some methods, like whitening toothpaste, are used every day. Others involve weekly or biweekly treatments. These treatments involve applying peroxide-based gels with brushes, trays, or even strips. Each of these methods typically takes a few weeks of regular use before you start to see results. Also, anytime you use an OTC product, you should ensure that it has been approved by the American Dental Association (ADA).

Professional Teeth Whitening:

In addition to typical dental services, most New York dentist offices also offer various cosmetic dentistry services, including professional dental teeth whitening. Your Cosmetic Dentistry Center dentist will bleach your teeth with a powerful peroxide formula when you receive a professional whitening service. Then a laser light treatment is usually done on your freshly bleached teeth. By combining the two, your dentist can whiten your teeth at a much deeper level. Professional whitening can get your teeth whiter and brighter than you could ever achieve with an at-home treatment.

How Does Professional Teeth Whitening Work?

So how, exactly, does your Cosmetic Dentistry Center cosmetic dentist get such excellent results? The key difference between the treatment your dentist uses and the easily available DIY home whitening kits is the strength of the peroxide used in the treatment. Your dentist can use considerably higher concentrations of the bleaching agent.

At Cosmetic Dentistry Center, we use the LaserSmile whitening system, which involves a specially formulated peroxide gel designed to work with a specific laser light. This procedure is similar to other professional treatments, as most involve a combination of heat or light. However, the LaserSmile system is considered to be one of the safest bleaching systems in the industry as it doesn’t affect the sensitivity in your teeth in the same way that other procedures can. It is also the fastest in-office treatment currently available in New York, and some patients see results in 30 minutes or less! Most patients only need one visit.

A East Village, NY dental teeth whitening service can do amazing things for your smile and your self-esteem, but this purely cosmetic procedure doesn’t keep your smile white forever. No matter which whitening method you choose or how effective it is, your teeth can easily become stained all over again if you aren’t careful. However, a professional treatment by a certified New York cosmetic dentist can give you the best chance of success.

Some information about East Village, NY

The East Village is a neighborhood on the East Side of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It is roughly defined as the area east of the Bowery and Third Avenue, between 14th Street on the north and Houston Street on the south. The East Village contains three subsections: Alphabet City, in reference to the single-letter-named avenues that are located to the east of First Avenue; Little Ukraine, near Second Avenue and 6th and 7th Streets; and the Bowery, located around the street of the same name.

The area that is today known as the East Village was originally occupied by the Lenape Native Americans. The Lenape relocated during different seasons, moving toward the shore to fish during the summers, and moving inland to hunt and grow crops during the fall and winter. Manhattan was purchased in 1626 by Peter Minuit of the Dutch West India Company, who served as director-general of New Netherland.

The population of the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam was located primarily below the current Fulton Street, while north of it were a number of small plantations and large farms that were then called bouwerij (anglicized to ‘boweries’; modern Dutch: boerderij). Around these farms were a number of enclaves of free or ‘half-free’ Africans, which served as a buffer between the Dutch and the Native Americans. One of the largest of these was located along the modern Bowery between Prince Street and Astor Place, as well as the ‘only separate enclave’ of this type within Manhattan. These black farmers were some of the earliest settlers of the area.

There were several ‘boweries’ within what is now the East Village. Bowery no. 2 passed through several inhabitants, before the eastern half of the land was subdivided and given to Harmen Smeeman in 1647. Peter Stuyvesant, the director-general of New Netherland, owned adjacent bowery no. 1 and bought bowery no. 2 in 1656 for his farm. Stuyvesant’s manor, also called Bowery, was near what is now 10th Street between Second and Third Avenues. Though the manor burned down in the 1770s, his family held on to the land for over seven generations, until a descendant began selling off parcels of the property in the early 19th century.
